Starting on Sunday August 31st, 2014 the TTC will not be operating the 501 Queen and 508 Lakeshore streetcars west of Humber Loop until December 21st, 2014.

The reduction in service is due to the City of Toronto repairing the Gardiner over the streetcar link between Lake Shore Blvd. and Humber Loop.

All 501 Queen and 508 Lakeshore streetcars will start their eastbound, and end their westbound, trips at Humber Loop.  However, two shuttle buses will be used to connect the streetcars with Lake Shore Blvd.  The main shuttle will travel east from Long Branch Loop along Lake Shore Blvd. w. to Park Lawn and will then travel north on Park Lawn to the Queensway, and then east into Humber Loop.  The shuttle will travel in the opposite direction to get back to Long Branch Loop.

DSCN0312A second shuttle will travel from Humber Loop, south along Park Lawn, and then east on the Lake Shore.  The shuttle will run around Marine Parade Drive, and then back up Park Lawn and back to Humber Loop.

This work is scheduled to end December 21st, 2014 with streetcars returning the next day.
