The TTC has announced that it will be closing down a section of the Yonge Line, between Bloor and Lawrence stations for signal upgrades on September 6th and 7th, 2014.  Shuttle buses will operate over this portion of the route.

The signals, and accompanying equipment, is almost 60 years old and requires repairs.  Also, the TTC plans on some track work at Davisville station, and between the Summerhill and Bloor stations.

Shuttle buses will operate between Lawrence and Bloor, with a separate bus operating between Bloor St. and York Mills station for accessible access.  Subways will continue to operate between Lawrence station and Finch station, as well as the rest of the Yonge-University-Spadina Line between Bloor and Downsview stations.

The stations at Eglinton, Davisville, St. Clair, and Rosedale will remain open over the weekend for connections to other routes, and for fare collection.  Summerhill will be closed completely for the weekend.

Regular subway service should return on Monday September 8th, 2014.
