CLRV #4089 heads east along King Street, near University, on a 504 run

The TTC is diverting the 504 King streetcar starting today, September 4th, 2014, until September 8th.  The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), which starts September 4th and runs until September 14th, 2014, is causing the closure of King Street West between Peter Street and University Avenue.

From September 4th to 8th, the 504 King car will divert as follows:

Eastbound cars will turn north on Spadina Avenue, and then right on Queen Street.  Cars will continue east along Queen Street and then turn south on Church Street.  The cars will then turn left back onto King Street to continue their eastbound trips.

Westbound cars will turn north on York Street, before continuing west along Queen Street.  The cars will then turn south on Spadina Avenue before continuing west along King Street.

The closure along King Street West will also affect the 508 Lakeshore streetcar, which will also use the same streets to get around the closure.

Between September 9th and September 14th, the streetcars will return to their regular route, but their may be be delays as the curb lanes will remain closed for the festival.

Everything returns to normal on September 15th.
