GO Transit has announced that it will be reducing evening service along the Lakeshore West Line over the next two months.

The work will be done in order to allow for GO Transit, which owns the majority of the Lakeshore West line, to replace rail ties along the route.

Work will be done overnight, but will affect service starting at 8 p.m.

Service will be reduced to hourly service between Aldershot and Oakville between October 13th and October 22nd, 2015, and from October 27th to October 31st.

The entire Lakeshore West line will see hourly service from November 1st to November 6th, and November 10th to December 4th, and then again from December 8th to December 15th.

The GO buses at Burlington and Aldershot that connect to the GO train will still continue to operate on their regular service levels, however customers may have to wait an extra 30 minutes for a train to come.
