Remembrance Day 2015

In honour of Remembrance day, many transit agencies in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) will be offering free rides to veterans, or to a relative of a deceased veteran.

Veterans are asked to wear their uniform, or provide identification showing their service in our armed forces.  Family members of deceased members are asked to provide documentation of their relationship with a veteran who has passed away.

Agencies who have announced a free ride policy for veterans on Remembrance Day include:

Brampton Transit
Burlington Transit
Guelph Transit
GO Transit
Hamilton Street Railway (HSR)
Misissauga Transit (MiWay)
Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)
York Region Transit (YRT)

To all veterans: A big thank you for your service and your courage.  For all the families of deceased veterans: our thoughts are with you.

Lest We Forget!
