GO Transit has announced that there will be no GO train service between Mimico GO station and Union Station on November 21st, and 22nd, 2015.  The City of Toronto is replacing bridges on Dunn Ave. and Dowling Ave. over the train tracks that GO trains operate on the Lakeshore West line.

Trains will continue to operate between Aldershot GO station and Mimico GO station.  GO buses will provide a bridge service between Port Credit GO station and Union Station.  However, passengers are warned that there may be long lines for the bus service, and delays may be caused.  Long Branch and Mimico passengers are encouraged to use the TTC.

GO Transit will also offer service along the Milton line on the weekend, with trains operating in each direction every three hours.

Normal service returns first thing Monday morning.

The only question is why Port Credit GO station is being used for the transfer to the bus service, instead of Long Branch GO station.
