New TTC Fares

As we have entered 2016, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has raised its fares.

For the first time in several years, the cash fare was raised.  The new cash fares for adults is $3.25, $2.00 for seniors (65+) and students (13-19).

Children 12 and under continue to travel for free, a policy initiated by Mayor John Tory last year.

Presto, token, and ticket fares are now $2.90 for adults, and $1.95 for seniors and students.

The weekly pass is now $42.25 (adults) and $33.00 (seniors and students) while the Metropass is now $141.50 (adults) and $112.00 (seniors and students.)  The discounted Metropass is now $129.75 (adults) and $102.75 (seniors and students.)

The downtown express rate, which is in addition to the base fare) is $3.25 cash or token (adults) and $2.00 (seniors and students.)  The monthly sticker for the express rate is $41.50 for everyone.

The Post-secondary Metropass is now $112.00, while the day pass is now $12.00 and the GTA Weekly Pass is $61.00.
